Hey guys! So, lately, I've been sick and unable to even move because of my stomach. I have decided that I'll give you some advices about stomach-friendly food.
STOMACH-ACHE DIET
When your stomach hurts, you definitely should change your eating habits. There may be different causes of your sickness - stress, virus, you ate something bad, or even it is a sign for you that in your body there is something going on.
You should NOT eat:
1) Dairy
-Your tummy is already in a hard disbalance, and digesting dairy is very hard for it eventhough you are not sick. Imagine it - we are the only animals, who somehow eat another mammals milk after we have already reached the adult age. Isn't that weird? So digesting dairy is too exhausting and it will definitely cause another aches.
-The virus could cause that there are not enough enzyms to digest the dairy sugar, so rather exclude the dairy.
2) Eggs
-Same thing as dairy - too hard to digest and it may give you a tendency to vomit.
3) Citrus fruit + Vegetables
-Unfortunately, yes, some fruit you shouldn't eat too. Grapefruits, oranges, lemons, limes... have too significant taste for our upset stomach even they are healthy, so don't.
-There are just a few vegetables suitable for you tummy so be aware of it.
4) Alcohol & cigarettes
-Obviously, not good at all.
5) Chocolate & Coffee
-Not even the fully raw organic dark chocolate, actually that is the worst one. Chocolate and coffee may cause some intestinal problems and aches.
6) Food rich at fat + Meat
-Unhealthy fats - Fast food, pizza, oils and everything fried or grilled should not be on your diet.
-But I am talking also about some really healthy foods, such as Avocados, nuts, are not suitable for your belly.
-Olive and coconut oil you should eat the day 3, not before.
7) Spices
-Skip spicing your rice (don't you dare to make it "mexican" :D ).
8) Hard-to-diggest whole food
-I am sorry about this, but if your stomach hurts, you should not be eating wholewheat pasta, brown rice, beans, chickpea, and other whole grain food. Although they are superrich and nourishing and full of vitamins and healthy things, it takes you tummy a time to diggest them. That's why we are not that hungry after eating them, which is great! But not in this case.
9) White flour processed food
-Bread, pasta, muffins, cookies...
STOMACH-FRIENDLY FOOD to eat:
1) Fruit
-It is so easy to digest, there are just fructose natural sugars, which are digested quickly and without any effort.
-VERY good are: Bananas (me for example, I don't like their structure), Red Apples, Grapes, Peaches, Berries, Papaya
2) Potatoes + White yasmine rice
-Potatoes contain the potato starch, but it is also easy to digest and it will neutralise your stomach.
-Yasmine rice (white) is awesome when having a stomach ache. It is absolutely friendly to your tummy and will give you a lot of energy.
3) Juices mixed with water + Herb tea
-Don't forget to drink a lot! Try drinking 100% organic juices from fruit which is suitable for you for ex. Apple juice. It will give you many vitamins and power.
-Herb tea from Camomille is also nice to your belly.
Also remember to get enough sleep, lay down, don't get stressed and have a big rest :)
